The Pump Shop at MME |
Project PortfolioKeach Levee DistrictKeach Levee District is one of many along the Illinois River. Levee districts are organized by area residents. Most are built to keep rising river water away from planted fields of crops. Several years ago, the Keach Levee District built a pumping station to replace a very old diesel-driven pump. However, the station couldn’t handle the heavy flooding that came in recent years. The photos above show how Missouri Machinery & Engineering Co. built a 40,000 gpm station to better address the needs of the Keach Levee District. |
